Centuries galore on day two

Test caps Michael Vandort and Jehan Mubarak, with two sizzling tons, put CCC in front with a 99-run lead over Badureliya CC on day-2 of their SLC Premier League Tier ‘A’ tournament match at Maitland Crescent on Sat. (6).

Vandort, who struck two sixes and 14 fours, shared 173 for the 2nd wicket with Mubarak, who struck seven well hit boundaries.

NCC take 137 run lead

Opener Kanchana Gunawardene continued from his overnight unbeaten 102 to make a solid 137 which gave his team NCC a mammoth 251-run 1st innings lead in their game against Moors at Maitland Place.

SL cap and Colts CC captain Malinda Warnapura made 133 not out, inclusive of a six and 11 boundaries, to put his team in the box seat in their game against present table leaders, Chilaw Marians, at Havelock Park.
