A joint academic conference on "Managing the Modern
Complex Organizations; A Strategic Approach" will be held on December 13
and 14, at the Rajarata University in Mihintale, organised by the Master
of Business Administration student batches of the Faculty of Commerce and
Management Studies of the University of Kelaniya and the Rajarata
University.
A press release issued by the organisers said: A
conference of this nature provides opportunities for students to use their
theoretical knowledge with the practical experiences while opening new
dimensions to the knowledge creation and to share their experiences with a
wider audience while contributing to the knowledge sharing culture. This
will be an ample opportunity for business community to benchmark the best
Strategic Management practices for success of their businesses and a
golden opportunity to headhunt best talents to their organizations.
The conference will include presentations, panel
discussions, case studies and it will surely provide a common stage for
the MBA students to exchange knowledge and experience, networking and
skills required to be more effective mangers under the guidance of a panel
of high calibre public and the private sector resource persons. Research
paper competition was organized in parallel to the conference and the
outstanding papers will be recognized with awards at the conference."
