Marking an important milestone in the United Nations
Millenium Development Programme, Urban Development and Religious Sites
Development Ministry and the Jaffna Municipality signed an agreement at
Temple Trees to eradicate shanties from the Jaffna town.
The agreement was signed by Urban Development Minister
Dinesh Gunawardene and Social Services and Social Welfare Minister and
Chairman, Northern Province Development Special Task Force Douglas
Devananda.
