

The Supreme Court has ordered that Rs.153.2 million deposited by Lanka Marine Services (Pvt) Limited (LMS), a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings (JKH), to secure any terminal benefits for LMS employees to be determined by the Commissioner General of Labour be paid to such employees.
JKH has said in a Stock Exchange filing that when a fundamental rights application filed by 77 LMS employees was supported for leave to proceed on December 3, the court had made order that the sum deposited be paid to LMS employees.
