      Editorial:Double trouble for kids

The government said it had three weeks to respond to last week’s Supreme Court directive on the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation to reduce the price of petrol from Rs.122 to Rs.100 a litre, Media Minister Anura Priyadharshana Yapa said at the weekly Cabinet press briefing yesterday.
In terms of the Court order, the government has a grace period of three weeks for the submission of its observations, but it would arrive at a decision long before, he said.
