The Awards presentation ceremony of the Shilpa – 2007 for handicraft artistes was held at the Battaramulla Janakala Kendaraya recently. Handicarft artiste D. B. Premaratne of Matale, who won the first place in the handicrafts competition, receives the award from Trade, Marketing and Consumer Affairs Minister Bandula Gunawardena. Secretary to Rural Industries and Self-Employment Promotion Nihal Somaweera, Minister S. B. Navinna and National Crafts Council Chairman, Buddhi Keerthisena were present. |
