Kelly Brook named Britain’s Got Talent judge
The model and television presenter, who is dating England rugby international Danny Cipriani, will join the programme’s existing panel of Piers Morgan, Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell.
The third series of the talent contest will air in May but Brook has already started work, attending auditions with the other judges in Manchester yesterday.
Cowell, the show’s creator, reportedly offered the former Page Three girl a £200,000 contract in the hope of kindling a rivalry with 37-year-old Holden, following the headlines created by the feisty competition between judges Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue on his other reality television hit X Factor.
Brook has experience as judge on digital channel Living’s Dirty Dancing: The Time of Your Life, and said she is excited to be involved in the popular talent show, which last year was won by teenage dancer George Sampson.
"I have been a huge fan of the show since its first series, with my dance background I cannot wait to see the dancers. Simon has promised me some wild acts which I can’t wait to see," she said.
Cowell said: "This is fantastic news. Kelly’s great fun and she has absolutely no idea what she’s let herself in for."
Brook appeared as a contestant in Strictly Come Dancing in 2007 but pulled out following the death of her father.
