RANASINGHE - UPALI passed away peacefully at the Tiwi Gardens Lodge,
Darwin, Australia on 12th January. Former Senior Engineer, Water Division
PAWA, Darwin, and Honorary Consul for Sri Lanka in the Northern Territory
of Australia, former Municipal Engineer, Colombo and Lieutenant Colonel of
the 4th Development and Construction Regiment, Sri Lanka Engineers. Much
loved husband of Shreeni (Kulatilleke), Adored Thaththi (father) of
Kumudini Bali, Dheepthi Oliva, Darshaka Ranasinghe and Anusha Kidd,
father-in-law of Sharm Bali, Cosmo Oliva, Tina Jones and David Kidd,
darling Seeya (grandfather) of Keshini and Shyam Bali, Sherini, Natalia
and Paolo Oliva, Deni and Jackson Ranasinghe and Phoebe Kidd, beloved
brother of Dr. Haris (and Malini) Ranasinghe, Upamalika (and Nath)
Kottegoda, Dr. Lakshman (and Lakshmi) Ranasinghe. Remains will lie at the
Rest-haven Chapel, 121, Amy Johnson Avenue, from 1.00 p.m. on Thursday
15th January for the funeral service. Cremation will take place at 3.00
p.m. at the Thorak Cemetery. No flowers by request. Donations in lieu may
be sent to Pakinson's Australia, Association NT or Lanka Alzheimer's
Foundation, in memory of Upali. No. 4, Jinka Street, Tiwi, NT 0810,
