

Another group of Lankan fishermen in Indian waters arrested
Indian Coast Guards have arrested another group of Lankan fishermen on Sunday evening for entering Indian waters illegally, Indian web agencies reported.
Sri Lankan Deputy High Commissioner in India P.M Amza was quoted as saying that the group of 17 fishermen has been arrested at the Visakhapatnam sea area on Sunday evening.
They were handed over to the local police in Visakhapatnam for further inquiries.
Indian Coast Guards have also seized three boats that belong to the fishermen, the Deputy High Commissioner confirmed.
According to the sources the fishermen were from Chilaw, Tangalle and Trincomalee.
