A man who was riding a motorcycle under the influence of liquor died on the spot last week after he was knocked down by a passing vehicle in Akmeemana.

The residents in the area came across the dead body and motorcycle the following morning.

Police are looking for clues that will establish the identity of the culprit who knocked down the motorcyclist and fled.

Under the orders of Inquirer in to Sudden Deaths M. L. Boralessa, the body had been taken to the Karapitiya hospital.
