Several roads in Colombo will be closed in view of the Independence Day celebrations and the Dayata Kirula exhibition tomorrow (04) and Wednesday (05), Police said yesterday.

The following roads will be closed on 4th and 5th for the Independence Day celebrations. Bambalapitiya Junction to Fort, Abdul Gafoor Mawatha to Galle road Junction, Colpetty Junction, J.O.C Round-about, Red Cross Round about, Liberty Round about, Park Street/ Dharmapala Mawatha Junction, Zoysa Round about, Deans Road/ Vidyalankara Mawatha Junction, Fire Brigade Junction, Darley Road/ Forbes Road Junction, Junction Bridge to Darley Road Seynor Junction, Kahn Round about.

Several other roads will remain closed for the Dayata Kirula exhibition till Sunday (8th). They are as follows: Kanatta Junction to Bullers Road, Gregory’s Road to Gregory’s Avenue, Gregory’s Road to wijerama Mawatha, Maitland Place to Viddya Mawatha, Public Administration Junction to Bullers Road, Bullers Lane to Bullers Road,Torrington Avenue to Bullers Road, Malalasekera Mawatha / Sarana Road Junction, No right turn from Jawatta Road to Bullers Road.
