The Sri Lanka Schools Basketball Association will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year and an Inter-Zonal Under-19 Boys’ and Girls’ Basketball tournament has been organized in connection with the above event. The first round matches will be played from February 6 to 8.

The finals will be worked off on February 28.

Twenty eight boys’ and girls’ team from 11 zones, namely Colombo North, Colombo South, Gampaha, Galle, Matara, Kandy, Kurunegala, Mannar,Batticalo, Jaffna and Badulla have confirmed their participation in the tournament. All the boys’ matches will be played at St. Benedict’s College Kotahena, basketball courts and at St. Joseph’s College, Colombo while the girls’ matches will be played at De La Salle College Modara and Good Shepherd Convent, Kotahena.

Eleven boys’ teams will take part representing the above 11 zones while nine girls’ teams will vie for honours from nine zones, except for Mannar and Batticaloa.
