Angsana’s annual celebration

Rohan Karr the General Manager of the Cinnamon Grand Hotel held a cocktail
party in the Atrium lobby for the members of the Angsana City Club and Spa
and the many friends of the hotel. There certainly was more cause for
celebration as the hotel had won for the second year running the accolade
of the best five star hotel in the city. Having got to the party somewhat
late, there were still some who lingered and met friends and made new ones
while enjoying the hospitality of the host. Also there to ensure that
everyone was well looked after was Tharika Goonetilleke, the Public
Relations Manager of the hotel and other members of the executive staff
among them Sadhana Vickrantha and Ruchira Jayawardene. Tharika settled for
a dress in a striped fabric, while Sadhana wore a white saree patterned in
black dots and a coral like design in swirls of grey with a black blouse
and a necklace of pearls and jet beads with little drop earrings to match.
Ruchira had her black saree patterned in a border design and pallu in
white, she wore with a sleeveless black blouse and an ethnic necklace in
black beads and antique looking silver. The black dress Sajini wore was
embroidered at the bare shouldered neckline in red and green and was held
up by shoe string straps. Black was also the choice of Neluka Perera and
of Sandra Nathanielsz. The former had her dress adorned with silver coin
sequins at the neckline and the latter had a red and black stole draped
over her black dress, and she carried a red handbag. A collar necklace and
drop earrings in white stones and blue centres on drops made her
glamourous accessories.
As always the Cinnamon Grand did it in style with a wide buffet spread and all the ingredients that goes to make a successful party.
