Police yesterday offered a one million rupee reward for information leading to the arrest of Rivira chief editor Upali Thennakoon’s assailants.

Police spokesman Senior Superintendent of Police Ranjith Gunasekara said that the IGP Jayantha Wickemaratne had approved the payment.

The police have released an identikit drawn according to information furnished by Upali’s wife.

An unidentified gang attacked the Rivira chief editor and his wife on January 25th while they were on their way to work in Colombo.
