Malicious Propaganda

Venezuelans voted 54.8 percent to 45.1 percent to change the constitution to end term limits and allow elected Presidents to run for re-election indefinitely. The winning margin for the change was a good 9.7 percent. Venezuelans are pleased with the result but not the West. Their propaganda was malicious and aimed at misleading the voters. The referendum was just about the indefinite re-election of the president and we don’t see any problem with re-electing someone who has done a good job.  In any case it is up to the people to vote for the candidate they want and send the incumbent home, at the end of a term. It is a democratic right of every citizen.

So, Chavez or whoever becomes a President in the next election will have to work hard to improve people’s lot in order to be re-elected.  Venezuelans will only vote for a person who is able to fulfil their promises.  Western media, especially the one under Zionist influence, was busy spreading misleading information about Hugo Chavez to settle their scores with him.  We are proud to have brave leaders like Hugo Chavez, who fearlessly stand for the rights of the oppressed people. Arab and Muslim world will never forget him for the moral support he gave to the Palestinians during Israel’s onslaught on Gaza.
