Style tips from Kiran Attapattu, one of the popular fashion icons
Choose the best and wear it right

A wrongly knotted tie , can make you look insignificant and immature.

Follow these tips and get the perfect tie look.

Take your chest and shoulders into account. Go for a tie with a medium width.

Do not wear a tie whose length is less than your bellybutton. Neither wear one that gets stuck in your zipper.

Do not unnecessarily accessorise your tie with tie tacks, chains or slides - avoid these unless you are going for a very formal occasion.

Belts are worn both for functionality and accessorising. A belt provides a balance and proportion to the body. It gives a nice break to the upper and lower garment. Wearing the perfect belt augments your look and personality.

Here are some tips to help you choose a perfect belt for your wardrobe.

Always look out for a belt which is not more expensive than your shoes or clothes.

The length of the belt should be appropriate so that you can buckle it tightly in the middle hole.

Match the colour and finish of your shoes before finalising a belt. Follow the old rule, which says that the colour of the belts and shoes should match. A brown with a brown and a black with a black. As for other coloured belts, specially the canvas ones, use your own discretion.

Who says only women need to be conscious of the bag that they carry. Be it luggage or a hand bag, men must be choosy too. So here it is - quality, functionality, durability and desirability are the prime concerns when buying a bag. Choose one that is classy and versatile enough for you to take anywhere and everywhere.

A man is known by the shoes he wears. Gone is then era when men had limited options and colours. With options aplenty, choosing the right pair is no longer an ordeal.

While choosing a shoe to wear, try to pick a pair that complements your outfit or is darker than your trousers or denims.

You can wear almost any colour or style of shoes with jeans, but avoid very shiny ones that are obviously intended for dressier outfits.

Coordinate your footwear with the colour of your belt and the watch that you are wearing.

The sight of a well-dressed man who knows how to accessories with the right kind of jewellery is appreciated by all. More and more men are sporting jewellery that was a taboo otherwise. The tick lies in picking a subtle one and not overdoing it.

Men and watches are inseparable. A striking watch is the most significant piece of accessory which every man loves to wear.
