Ceylinco Insurance PLC has announced the appointment of Messrs. Rajkumar Renganathan and Ajith Gunawardena as Joint Deputy Chairmen of the company which claims to be the largest in the insurance industry in the country.
Renganathan was previously Chief Executive Director of Ceylinco’s Life Division while Gunawardena was Chief Executive Director of the General Insurance Division, both having headed operations of these two divisions since the inception of the company in 1988.
They will continue to lead management teams of their respective divisions in their capacity as Executive Directors of the company, Ceylinco said.
In a brief joint statement that followed their appointment, Renganathan and Gunawardena said: "Ceylinco Insurance remains the stable and financially sound institution that attained market leadership five years ago. The company is regulated by the Insurance Board of Sri Lanka and all investments conform to Board’s guidelines."
