Elocution classes for broadcasters
There was a recent news item with a picture of a group of demonstrators protesting against the further expansion of substandard radio stations. We have already a few of them and it is time that some of us demonstrated against them as well. Most annoying is these broadcasters howling on public transport. This cannot be by popular request.
Whether there could be any other reason is your readers’ guess. Much of our broadcasting is sub standard anyway.
Those who imagine that their broadcasting is wonderful should attend some elementary elocution classes or at least listen to some internationally recognized radio stations and learn the basics of quality broadcasting, not only the language, pronounciation and style of expression but also the substance that is being broadcast.
I had no prior knowledge of this demonstration. Had I known, I would have joined it myself on my walking stick even though most of the demonstrators were younger than me.
