It is with great sadness that we note the death of Ranjit C. Dissanakawho rendered a great service to the country and to all the worthy causes that he had espoused.

11 No tombs to be constructed. No dana are after 1 year.

This is a worthy example coming from a person who always appreciated simplicity and modesty in all his activities.

As an active member  of the Eksath Lanka Maha Sabha, Buddhi Samaja Foundation and Sanathana Foundation, I am aware that he has contributed immensely to further their programs of activities. He served as Treasurer and Vice President  of the Eksath Lanka Maha Sabha with distinction and carried the responsibility as its media coordinator, most effectively. His love for the country and the well being of its people  became his number one priority, inspite of all other demands and his weak heath conditions during the last few years.

He has rendered a hugr servivr service in two other nations organisations, namely National Chamber of Commerce and the Sri Lanka Chinese Friendship Organisation where he has made vital contributions to promote trade and friendship.

As a man of integrity, resolve  and goodwill for all, he always stood by his word and promise inspite of what others may think, This  is fully illustrated by his last wish quoted above a tradition sponsored  by the Sanathana Foundation. We noted that the family members have lovingly put into practice.

As a proud father of three children, who are all doing well in life have raised loving family brood of grand children whom he adored. He was also a proud Boy’s Scout who  was ever ready to serve any worthy cause.

Having left an everlastingf mark among his frends and in the readership of many news media; he led a life of complete liberation in keeping with the tenets of the religion that he professed and practiced.

We are happy to have been associated with him.
