The excuse given to court that police investigators are unable to access the Golden Key computer systems due to electricity being disconnected at its main office at Bambalapitiya is so utterly ridiculous.

Surely all they need to do is hire a generator to power the premises if Ceylinco Group is unwilling to pay the overdue utility bills or hookup a small generator which will enable each computer to be fired up one at a time and the data accessed if they are tabletop/laptop models.

To the public this is the most disingenuous response given by a lethargic police department in years.

Come on Mr. IGP surely there are those at Police HQ who can deal with such a situation.

The suffering depositors deserve better from your investigators and the department which is after all there to serve the public.
