None came forward to bail out Piyadasa Ratnayake alias Danduwam Mudalali who was produced in Tangalle court on Thursday from the Remand Prison. He was earlier remanded on charges of cheating several people to the tune of millions of rupees by obtaining large sums of money on the promise of returns at higher interest rates. But he had paid neither the interest money nor the capital.

Earlier Court ordered Rs 5 million cash and Rs 10 million surety bail on him.

The case was postponed for June 19 by Tangalle Magistrate Bandula Hiriburegama.
