Gestetner of Ceylon PLC has informed the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) that its board of directors had decided on March 9 to acquire nearly 700,000 ordinary shares of Nashua Lanka (Pvt) Limited for a total consideration of approximately Rs.7 million.

Ceylinco Capital Market Limited Ltd. has acquired a controlling stake of 51% of SMB Real Estate Ltd, a subsidiary of Seylan Merchant Bank PLC for a consideration of Rs.31.5 million, Seyland Merchant Bank said in a stock exchange filing.

The share purchase agreement between the two parties have been signed on March 9, the CSE been informed.
