Buddhika, Gajasinghe rattle Richmond

Off-spinners skipper Rumesh Buddhika and Kaushalya Gajasinghe triggered a middle order collapse sharing seven wickets between them for Mahinda College, Galle to restrict Richmond College to 143 runs on the first day of the 104th Lovers Quarrel that commenced at Galle International Stadium on Friday.

Put to bat first, Richmond were 123 for three wickets at one stage but Buddhika and Gajasinghe managed to rattle the late order for just 20 runs. Chalana de Silva picked up two wickets.

In reply, Mahinda were 30 for one wicket at close.
