International lingerie giant Triumph had opened a new own store at the Liberty Plaza, increasing its own stores chain to five with a sixth in Kandy planned for launch in the middle of this year, the company said.

"We hope to have 11 stores of our own by the end of 2010/11, Mr. Shalindra Fernando, General Manager, Triumph International Lanka (Pvt) Limited said.

A company news release said that despite the global financial crisis, Triumph is committed to expanding its portfolio of own stores across the world and Sri Lanka is no exception.

"We are looking to aggressively expand our own store network in Sri Lanka," Fernando said.

The newest store with approximately 400 square feet floor area has been designed incorporating the latest guidelines set by Triumph International in Europe and was described as "simple, yet elegant and luxurious."

The company said that the Liberty Plaza store will stock the entire range of products made available by Triumph in Sri Lanka.
