DOHA: The Sri Lankan embassy has urged its citizen holding passports, with their children’s photographs pasted on "N" series, to immediately apply for new passports.

The Controller of Immigration and Emigration in Colombo has ruled that such passports will be cancelled when they return to Sri Lanka.

The Embassy requested Sri Lankan nationals holding the "N" series passports to apply for a new one for their children along with relevant documents well in advance of their anticipated travel to Sri Lanka.
