Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, Chief of Defence Staff Air Marshal Donald Perera and Navy Chief Vice Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda take a ride on a locally assembled boat operated by the elite Special Boat Squadron (SBS) off Mannar last year. Since the outbreak of the Eelam War IV, in 2006, the navy has expanded SBS operations with the Rapid Action Boat Squadron (RABS) joining the action. |
