Two children, an 8-year-old boy and a 10-year-old girl, had gone missing while playing on Tuesday around noon at Nugekanda in Akmeemana. The children were from the same locality

The missing children have been identified as Kavin Hansaka and Thanoja Irangani.

Akmeemana Police, along with the villagers have launched a search operation to trace the whereabouts of the two children. Several people in the vicinity have been questioned by the Police.
