SP State employees donate day’s pay
All state sector employees in the Southern Province decided to donate a
day’s salary to the welfare of IDPs now accommodated in Vavuniya and
Mannar.
This decision was taken at a meeting held at the Southern Provincial
Council Secretary’s office on Monday presided by the Chief Minister Shan
Wijelal de Silva. Heads of all departments in the province also
participated.A day’s salary of all State sector employees of the province
is estimated at Rs 20 million.
