W.G.Nalaka Lasantha of Sri Lanka Kyokushin-Kan International was adjudged the winner of the heavy weight category in the inaugural full contact martial arts tournament held at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium gymnasium, recently.

According to a release issued by Sri Lanka Kyokushin-Kan International, Lasantha has practiced kyokushin karate for six years and is the holder of the first Dan Black Belt.

Lasantha was trained for the tournament by Sensai Prasanna Fernando.

As many as 16 martial arts associations that promote full contact fighting had fielded participants at the tournament.
