Veterinary Surgeon warns of Avian flu
Veterinary Surgeon Anoma Suwandaratne warned that people should be alert about the Avian flu though there is no direct threat of the disease spreading to Sri Lanka.
We need to be more careful about this epidemic which could spread through ducks and fowl.
"Government has stopped the import of poultry, poultry products and its by products from the countries which have been affected with the disease," she said.
She alerted the poultry farmers to be alert about the behaviour of their poultry.
