I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry when I heard ‘George Master’ ,retired Postmaster, saying he collected his Govt’. Pension before he surrendered to the Army. Apart from George and my former clerk Velupillai[ the monster’s father], it looks as if there are yet a number of pensioners around in the NFZ who  get paid monthly by our compassionate government - though the modus operandi baffles me. I wonder what success, if any, this ‘hearts and minds ‘ operation has had.
