      Editorial:Earth has not anything to show more unfair
The army has demarcated a new Safety Zone (NSZ) for civilians trapped in the existing No Fire Zone captured by the LTTE. The new NSZ is located south of Karayamullivaikkal including Vellamullivaikkal and encompasses approximately three square kilometres
(2 km X1.5 km).
The Army Headquarters said last evening that the need for a new NSZ had been felt in the context of the present situation in the area.

Maligawatte mosque shooting
One killed nine injured

One died and nine were injured when masked gunmen went on a killing spree in the Maligawatte mosque yesterday afternoon, police said.

Liquor meant for Vesak season seized
Colombo Excise Special Unit had raided four Chinese restaurants and seized liquor stocks worth over Rs 2 million to be sold during the Vesak Festive season in the Mt Lavinia area.
