Health Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva will preside at the meetings of the WHO Executive Board and the World Health Assembly to be held in Geneva from May 28 - 30. Minister de Silva left on Wednesday (13), to participate in the meetings.

The spokesman for the Health Ministry said the Budget and Administrative Committees of the WHO were scheduled to meet yesterday (14), and today (15). The Commonwealth Health Ministers will meet on Sunday (17). The World Health Assembly (WHA) is scheduled to hold its meetings from May 18 to 27 during which Minister de Silva is expected to be appointed as its chairman.
