13th Amendment – India
Bulk of displaced civilians to be resettled in six months
Close on the heels of the killing of LTTE leader Velupillai
Prabhakaran and his top aides, the Sri Lankan government has assured
India that it would implement the 13th Amendment introduced under the
July 1987 Indo-Lanka Peace Accord.
School children islandwide yesterday morning expressed their gratitude
to the security forces, who rescued Sri Lanka from LTTE terrorism.
They hoisted the national flag and sang the National Anthem. This was
