Walking round the Kandy lake a few days ago I happened to notice a large numder dead birds of a black colour. Although I am not aware of the name of this species I believe them to belong to an aquatic variety which can be often seen in lakes and other water bodies.

I would like to earnestly request that the proper authorities investigate whether these deaths were caused by a natural agent or by some human agency.
