Diplomats, Ministers of State were among the large gathering at the American Ambassador’s residence when Robert O’ Blake hosted a cocktail to bid good-bye to Sri Lanka before he moves to take up his new assignment as the new Assistant Secretary of State for South Asian Affairs. Styles were set a pace by Sophia Blake who made a dramatic appearance in a black and gold Kandyan saree she wore as a tribute to show her love for the island. Sister-in-law of Robert O’Blake and sister of Sophia, Gina who is a popular artist made a statement in a white long dress with multi-coloured necklace as a striking contrast to her sister. It was a gathering of well dressed invitees who came to bid good-bye to the popular USA Ambassador in Sri Lanka and his affable wife Sophia and their beautiful kids.
