England bowl out West Indies for 160 in 2nd ODI
BRISTOL, England (AP) - Stuart Broad took four wickets and Paul Collingwood claimed three on Sunday to help England bowl out West Indies for 160 in the second one-day international.
Dwayne Bravo top-scored with 50, while captain Chris Gayle hit 31. Shivnarine Chanderpaul with 27 and Darren Sammy with 13 not out were the only other batsman to reach double figures in the warm, sunny conditions at Bristol's County Ground.
Broad finished with 4-46 and Collingwood 3-16 as West Indies was all out in 38.3 overs.
Thursday's game at Headingley was washed out. The two teams meet again at Edgbaston on Tuesday for the final game of series.
After England captain Andrew Strauss won the toss and put West Indies in to bat, Broad struck twice to dismiss Lendl Simmons and Ramnaresh Sarwan with both failing to score to leave their side at 7-2 in the fourth over.
Simmons faced four balls before he was trapped lbw on the back foot to make it 2-1 in the second over. Sarwan lasted two deliveries, edging a catch to wicketkeeper Matt Prior.
Despite the loss of two of his leading batsmen, Gayle decided to attack the bowling before he was third out with the total on 44. Having just hit Graeme Swann for his second six, he was bowled by the offspinner after having faced 28 balls.
Brief Scores:
West Indies 160 (D. Bravo 50, C. Gayle 31; Broad 4-46, Collingwood 3-16).
