Additional Magistrate, Matara, Chamath Madanayake on Tuesday postponed the hearing of the case where JVP MP Kottegoda Premasiri and three others were attacked with iron clubs causing serious injuries and severely damaging the double cab they travelled in.

The accused were Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mahinda Wijesekera, Southern Provincial Councillor and Chief UNP organiser for Weligama Jinadasa Gunawardane, former UNP Minister Dayananda Wickramasinghe, Weligama Pradeshya Sabha Opposition leader P. K. Battage and hotelier S. Damith.
