The Police said that a youth had smashed his brother’s head with a stone over a family dispute at Narawala Mulana in the Akmeemana police area.

Akmeemana police said that the victim identified as Hewawasam Sarathchandra (35) had been asleep at the time of the attack last Friday night (May 5) and succumbed to his injuries before being taken to a hospital.

Police, investigating the incident took the suspect into custody.
