One of the major inter-school tennis events this year’s, the Inter-school Tennis Tournament 2009, began at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association hard courts in Colombo last Monday (15).

The first leg of the Tournament will be the boys’ schools Under-15 segment. There are 17 schools participating this year in the U-15 category and amongst them are four outstation school and two international schools.

Group ‘A’ (9):

St. Peter’s College, St. Joseph’s, Maliyadeva, Isipatana, Zahira, St. Benedict’s, St. Michael’s College, Batticaloa, Karandeniya Central College, Galle, and S. Thomas, Mount Lavinia

Group ‘B’ (8):

Ananda College, Royal, St. Sebastian’s, Lyceum International School, D.S. Senanayake, Nalanda College, St. Thomas’, Matale, and Colombo International School.
