An unbeaten half century from Hashan Kumuditha and a quick fire 21 runs (not out) in just eight balls from Nirwantha Thikshila guided Galle District to a seven wicket victory over Matara District in the Sri Lanka Cricket Inter District Under-15 Prima tournament match played at Sri Sumangala College Ground, Hikkaduwa on Tuesday.

Opener Kumuditha’s half century came in 68 balls inclusive of six fours while Thikshila cracked an unbeaten 21 in just eight balls. Thikshila hit two sixes and two fours in his blistering 21 as Galle reached the target in just 23 overs.

Batting first, Matara were skittled out for 123 runs with H.T. Kaushal picking up four wickets for 27 runs.
