Turnover drops by 50 per cent, indices decline marginally

Yesterdays turnover dropped by over 50 per cent from rupees 1.88 billion to Rs. 790 million while both indices also registered marginal declines. The ASI dropped 9.66 points to 2447.20 while MPI dropped 5.69 points to 2769.13.

AHOT Properties gained Rs.1.00 at Rs.50.75, Balangoda closed flat at Rs.23.00,Browns lost 0.25 cts at Rs.36.50,C.W.Mackie gained 0.25cts at Rs.31.75, Ceylinco Finance gained 0.50cts at Rs.11.00, Ceylinco Housing gained Rs.1.75 at Rs.20.75, and CIC (n/v) lost 0.50 cts and 0.25 cts at Rs. 60.25 and Rs.39.25 respectively, Colombo Land closed flat at Rs.Rs.4.60, Commercial Bank gained 0.75 cts at Rs.140.00 ,Dialog closed flat at Rs.5.25, Distilleries lost Rs.2.00 at Rs.83.75

JKH lost Rs1.00 on transactions exceeding 1.3 billion at Rs.137.00,Mullers closed flat at 0.60 cts, Nat.Dev.Bank gained Rs.3.25 at Rs.154.00, Nations Trust closed flat at Rs.36.00,Overseas Reality and Pan Asia closed flat at Rs.13.50 and 14.50 respectively, Reefcomber closed flat at Rs. 1.40, Richard Peiris gained Rs.1.75 at Rs.42.00,The Finance Co gained Rs.1.00 at Rs.22.00, Tokyo Cement (n/v) lost Rs. 6.00 at Rs.170.00, Marawila Resorts gained 0.25 cts at Rs.6.75,Seirra Cables closed flat at Rs.1.80 ,Vallibel closed flat at Rs.3.30, Lanka Cement lost Rs.1.00 at Rs.20.25 and Seylan Merchant lost 0.19 cts at Rs.4.00
