Michael Jackson dies aged 50
Michael Jackson, the singer, has died of a suspected heart attack. He was 50. The Los Angeles coroner, Fred Corral, said that Jackson was pronounced dead after arriving at UCLA Medical Centre in full cardiac arrest. A post mortem examination is likely to take place today.

Two arrested over heroin spuds
Two Pettah based wholesale merchants were arrested by the Customs yesterday and handed over to the Police Narcotic Bureau in connection with the smuggling of heroin worth Rs 15 million, hidden in plastic containers....
