Dengue: Karapitiya records eight deaths
The Karapitiya Hospital has so far recorded eight dengue related deaths since January this year, the latest being that on Thursday of a 42-year-old woman identified as Kanthi Gunawardena of Matara.
According to Assistant Director of the Hospital, Dr. Alfred Edirimanne, 460 patients with dengue had sought treatment at the hospital since January.
