Anusha Kodituwakku and Nilmini Jayasinghe will represent Sri Lanka at the Russian International Women’s Boxing championship which commences July 7 at St. Petersburg, Russia.

Hemantha Weerasinghe, General Secretary, Amateur Boxing Association, Sri Lanka told ‘The Island’ that boxers for the above championship have been selected according to their performance at last year’s National Championship.

Kodituwakku, who won a gold medal at the Asian Women’s Boxing Championship in 2005, represented Sri Lanka together with Jayasinghe at the World Boxing Championship held at China last year. Jayasinghe won a bronze medal at the Asian Women’s Boxing Championship held in 2005.
