Sanath Jayasuriya was by far the oldest player in the recent T-20 World Cup in England where Sri Lanka became runners-up. He was also the oldest player to score a One-day Int’l century. That was in last January. He was 39 then. He became only the 2nd batsman to pass the 13,000 ODI run mark. That too was in this year when he was 39.
