An identified gunman on Saturday (July 4) evening shot dead Nadarajah Rameshkanda, Principal of Bharathipuram Vidyalaya, Vavuniya and a businessman named Gunaratnam Sivaruban in the Vavuniya police division.
A senior police official told The Island that they had been on their way to Sambaltottam when the gunman fired at them.
According to the police, the victims had died on the spot.
