Most homes are
‘chock-a-block’ with plastic empties such as Mega drink bottles,
ice-cream containers etc. Early this year a scheme was set-up to collect
these throw-aways. Advertisements were splashed in the media, yet
plastics remain as they were.I have seen in some Asian countries
where poor people collect empties to earn a living, but that has not
worked here.
