

Brazil was leading the tables with 32 gold medals by Friday (17) at the 2nd Lusophony Games now on in Lisbon, Portugal, with the participation of 12 nations which were once under Portuguese rule.
Brazil had bagged 19 silvers and 17 bronzes too to have a total medals tally of 68. Portugal, with 20 golds, 31 silvers and 11 bronze, were placed second while Angola held the third place with 3, 2 and 7 medals tally.
Meanwhile SL who held fourth place had dropped to the seventh slot with India, Macau - China, and Sao Tome and Principe overtaking them.
SL won a gold and four bronze medals including G. Gayan’s bronze which he won in taekwondo on Friday.
