A team of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) made a special visit at the Colombo Port Expansion Project of Sri Lanka Ports Authoriry (SLPA) recently. The team comprising Vice President of the ADB - Xiaoyu Zhao, Director General - Kunio Senga Country Director - Richard Vokes, Senior Advicer - Nishan Zhang and Project Implementation Officer - Jagath Pettawadu expressed their satisfaction on the progress of constructions of the Colombo Port Expansion Project.

Currently, 700m of the breakwater of the new port project has been completed and the minor delays due to the prevailing weather conditions will soon be caught up after the South-West monsoon in September this year.
